# Yuma

> Yuma (yuma.studio, formerly known as AbletonGPT at abletongpt.com) is an AI music production assistant. It is built to be the most complete AI integration for Ableton Live, with direct Session View and Arrangement View control, MIDI writing, generated audio, automation, and rack assets. Yuma also works alongside Logic, FL Studio, Pro Tools, Bitwig, and any other DAW through portable MIDI, WAV, sample, and preset files. Available as a desktop app for macOS and Windows.

Yuma lets you produce music using natural language. From chat you can create chord progressions, melodies, bass lines, drum patterns, vocals, acapellas, instrumentals, and sound effects. Anything Yuma generates can be dragged into Ableton, Logic, FL Studio, Pro Tools, or any other DAW.

When connected to Ableton Live, Yuma drives the session directly: write MIDI parts, work with Session View clips, place generated audio in Arrangement View, set tempo, read track context, and automate parameters in plain English while Live stays open in front of you.

Yuma is currently in beta and ships weekly updates.

## What Yuma does

- **MIDI Generation:** Generate chord progressions, melodies, bass lines, and drum patterns. Export as MIDI and drag into any DAW.
- **Vocals & Audio:** Create vocals, acapellas, instrumentals, and sound effects from a text prompt. Save generated audio as standard WAV files.
- **Ableton Live Integration:** Control Ableton directly: write MIDI, place audio in Arrangement View, write automation, and manage your session through conversation.
- **Desktop App:** Native app for macOS and Windows. Runs alongside your DAW with a clean, minimal interface.
- **Natural Language Control:** Chat with AI to create tracks and add effects. Describe what you want and watch it happen.
- **Sound Design:** Preset and native instrument workflows are expanding, starting with Ableton devices and popular synth preset formats.

## Plans

- **Starter:** $29/mo, 3,000 credits. MIDI generation for any DAW, audio & vocal generation, Ableton Live integration.
- **Pro:** $49/mo, 5,000 credits. Same features as Starter.
- **Max:** $99/mo, 10,000 credits. Same features plus early access to new features.

Each plan comes with a monthly pool of credits. Anything that calls AI, including chat, MIDI generation, vocals, and samples, uses some credits. Users can upgrade their plan any time if they need more.

## DAW compatibility

- **Ableton Live:** Direct control of Session View and Arrangement View. Yuma can write MIDI parts, place generated audio, read track context, set tempo, and automate parameters from chat.
- **Logic Pro, FL Studio, Pro Tools, and any other DAW:** Drag generated MIDI clips, vocals, and audio samples directly into your session.

## For former AbletonGPT users

AbletonGPT is now Yuma. Existing accounts still work. Sign in with the same email, download the new desktop app, and keep your migrated credits.
